THE TRANSFORMATION OF THE AREA NEAR ST.LORENZO BASILICA IN MILAN

The square and the quarter which has developed near the columns are in usual and minute shapes; St. Lorenzo’s lesson stands in the ability to define a version, at the same time, reliable and wonderful of the findings. The project interprets the columns as a big porch of a sectioned building. A new wall, dug in order to be the permanent equipment of a temporary market- is added to the ruins and links the monuments of the square. The faithful rebuilding of the shelled houses offers again the nature of a screen destined to guard craftsmen’ lives in the yards at the back.
