Topic of the project is the definition of the unity of the large area alongside the Canal Grande and the railway. A urban empty space, only partly occupied by neglected building developments, that is like a route intended to recount the transformations which have taken place in the area over time: canals, bridges, suburbs, farms, factories, outskirt residences, new projects. The project defines this area as a principle of the layout which determines lining-ups and methods in the sequences of surviving buildings or foreseen in the project. The long distance of the whole is articulated by the short distances between single places and architecture.
