AGRICULTURAL SETTLEMENT IN AYAME’ (IVORY COAST) With L. Mainardi, Y. Franchini

The site, chosen in the area of Ayamè, is a small plateau set at the foot of a hill and sided by a stream. The shape of the plateau, bounded by new damming and supporting walls, supplies the conditions of the general drawing of the plan. The latter is arranged mostly according to two built axis which define a complex of yards defined according to their purposes (the entry and the residence yards, the working ones) and is open to the cultivated fields and the forest.
